Feeding Time

Toronto, Ontario, Canada's finest fast paced punk band: S.H.I.T. Don't let the speculation around the meaning of the name bog you down, just sit back and let the band fill you with their unique approach to punk. When I first heard their demo, a couple of years ago, I knew this was a band that I needed to see live. I waited a long time for something new to be released by them, and finally my request was answered when they released Collective Unconsciousness, then Generation Shit a few months later. It got even better when they released the Feeding Time single, that features artwork by the always great Sam Ryser. I was gifted with the pleasure of watching them play a set at Palisades in Brooklyn, and god damn it was a banger. Straight up this band is heavy from start to finish, do yourself a solid and download their stuff.
With love from freak punk city.

Crude S.S. - Who'll Survive

Crude S.S. you motherfuckers. This band has risen to the top of my list of favorite bands. Hot damn. The band's 1983 ep "Who'll Survive" could not be any more of fantastic record. Riveting hardcore punk that doesn't stop with it's barge until the record is over. Cool name, cool music, cool fucking band. I'm not sure where they were from, but props to where ever it was.
Hardcore for you fuckers.

Kept In Line - Demo, Conscience Collapse, & Summer Promo

Demo cover art

Conscience Collapse cover art

What can I say about Kept In Line other than they are THE band to listen to. They'll blow you away with their Think I Care style of early 2000's hardcore. They have gone on tour twice now hitting up the Midwest, the East Coast, and the Northeast. Denton, Texas based rockers taking American hardcore by furious storm. Buy their music on their bandcamp. The summer promo is two songs, so thats why there are two mediafire links, sorry about that.
Live it love it.

Blazing Eye - Ways to Die

Blazing Eye comes from L.A. California. They play a mean d-beat style reminiscent to that of the old Japanese ways. Easily one of the best contemporary bands with their extremely catchy hooks, and riffs, Do yourself a favor and get this shit, its gold. It is their latest release from 2015. They put it out right before New York's Alright 2015, where they played an ass beater set with Kromosom.
Check it out.

La Misma - Kanizadi

KANIZADI

I honestly don't know very much about La Misma, other than they are an all female punk band, from NYC, that plays a fast, tough style of hardcore that I fell in love with when I first heard them. I was able to catch their live set with Anasazi, and hot damn it was a crazy set. Take the time out of your day to download their album.
NYC BABY.

GAG - America's Greatest Hits

GAG BABY. America's favorite reverb punks did it again with a killer record. I didn't think they could top their song Intro/Squeeze, but I stand corrected with almost every song here, especially Horse Tickler. I don't know what more to say about this band, as i'm pretty sure everyone knows who they are by now. Just take a listen to this excellent punk record.
All hail freaks.

Anasazi - Nasty Witch Rock

Anasazi fucking tears New York City to shreds. Playing a some seriously killer death rock jams, they've made a name for themselves from the wild live performances. Shit, I saw their vocalist punch some old fuck in the head for talking shit about them, while they were on stage. I digress though. Nasty Witch Rock is their debut album, after releasing several well received demos, ep's, and even a split with Survival. Every track on this record is impressive in its own way. DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS BAND. My favorite track is Maniac in the Mirror, with Hex Da System coming in close second.
Listen and enjoy you freaks.

Discharge - State Violence State Control

Discharge is one of the classic bands that every punk and their mother loves. This is their 1982 two song ep that frankly is my favorite release from the band. These songs can be found on other releases from the band, but I personally enjoy having them in this ep form. With barraging guitars, explosive drums, and berating lyrics dictating the end of days, and the police state of their time, Discharge express the sentiments of most UK punks from the 80's quite profoundly.
Enjoy you anarcho freaks.
